31-year-old man died in Rotorua crash named

Police has named the 31-year-old man who died in Rotorua single-car crash on Wednesday, September 11.
The man has been identified as Ayush Karki from Nepal living in Owhata, Rotorua.
On Wednesday, emergency services were called around 2:42 p.m. at the scene of a serious single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Tirohanga and Tram Roads, Kinleith Forest.
Police then reported that the single occupant of the vehicle had died in the accident.
“Police extend their condolences to his family and friends. Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” the police media release said.
Ayush came to New Zealand in 2008 from Nepal, was a resident of New Zealand and got married only a year ago. He worked as a manager at the Sudima Hotel in Rotorua
“It is sad to see such a young member of our community losing a life on the road, our heartfelt condolences to his family at this hour distress,” Dinesh Khadka, president of New Zealand Nepal Society told The Indian Weekender.
“Ayush’s parents live in Canada and are flying to New Zealand to conduct his last rites here in Rotorua,” Mr Khadka said.
Ayush’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 17, in Rotorua once his parents are here, Mr Khadka added.
