NZ Sri Lanka Foundations hosts prayer vigil in Auckland

The New Zealand Sri Lanka Foundation organised a multi-faith prayer vigil on Saturday, April 27 at St. Paul's Church in Auckland for the victims of the Sri Lanka Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The prayers for the victims of the attack was led by Reverend Prince Devanandan along with Venerable Rahula Thero from the Sri Lanka Raamaya Temple, the Priest of the Otahuhu Hindu New Zealand Thirumurugan Temple Bramma Sri Rajeswara Gurukkal, the Imam of the Ranui Mosque Sheik Seyyed Shafi. Reverend Dr Mary Caygil ex-president of the New Zealand Methodist church also addressed the gathering.
The speakers and the visitors repeated the message of brotherhood and condemned at the act of violence as inhumane.
Amongst the well-attended event were also MP for Mt Roskill Michael Wood and MP for Epsom and Leader of the Act Party, David Seymour.
