The seniors at the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust has come together on Saturday, February 9, to felicitate  Bhav Dhillon, Hon. Consul of India, for receiving Pravasi Bhartiya Samman.

Mr Dhillon was recently awarded Pravasi Bhartiya Samman by President of India Ram Nath Kobind in a state ceremony in Varanasi, India in the category of excellence in business and services to the Indian Diaspora.

Felicitating Mr Dhillon, the Chairman of the Trust Jeet Suchdev said, “It is a great pleasure for all of us here to honour Mr Dhillon for receiving the highest award that a person of Indian origin can get from the Government of India.

“The Samman speaks itself for the kind of work Mr Dhillon do for our communities,” Mr Suchdev said.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Dhillon shared his experience of being present at the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, which was the biggest conglomeration of the Global Indian diaspora under the aegis of the Government of India.

Thanking everyone for the facilitation, Mr Dhillon also acknowledged the work being done by Bhartiya Samaj over the last couple of decades.

“I am sincerely thankful for the support that I constantly receive from our community organisations like Bhartiya Samaj,” Mr Dhillon said.

“I sincerely appreciate the vision of your organisation and the relentless efforts put by volunteers and members here, year after year, to make a genuine impact within our community,” Mr Dhillon said.

The felicitation ceremony was followed by various entertainment performances and lunch served to all guests.
