| Ram Lingam, President- Chinmaya Mission NZ
It is not very often that a spiritual master comes to your doorstep. And when he does, he transforms all those who come in his presence. Chinmaya Mission New Zealand invites everyone to a five-day talk series where Swami Swaroopananda – the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission – will unravel the power of the Gayatri Mantra, one of the quintessential mantras of the Vedas (ancient Hindu texts).
About Gayatri Mantra
In Vedic science, mantras are powerful tools. They are unique forms of sound vibration. Did you know that mantras have a calming and purifying effect on the mind? When used correctly and with full knowledge, they can have profound effects on one's mind – perhaps none more so than the Gayatri Mantra.
The Gayatri Mantra is a highly revered mantra from the Rig Veda and its meaning is both subtle and complex. It is well known that chanting and understanding it makes one's rational intellect more brilliant. Invoking and contemplating on this great mantra, the individual seeker experiences oneness, whereupon its deeper secrets are revealed.
It is said that through the expansion of this mantra alone, that the entire knowledge of the Vedas can be restored. Traditionally, this mantra is very potent and philosophically it is extremely profound, practical and incredibly powerful.
However, this mantra and its true import are often left unknown to most who recite it. To unlock the hidden gems of wisdom and experience, Auckland is fortunate to have a sublime teacher like Swami Swaroopananda in our midst.
Swami ji will expound some of the most subtle messages given in this mantra. Attendees from previous talks have benefited tremendously and gained life-changing breakthroughs in all aspects of their lives. And now it’s our turn in Auckland. Chinmaya Mission looks forward to seeing you there.
