Actor Nora Fatehi has issued a strong denial after her name surfaced in media reports alleging her involvement in drug and rave parties organised by a Mumbai-based drug trafficker. The parties were reportedly attended by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew, Alishah Parkar.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Sunday, Nora condemned the claims as “lies” and said she was being made an “easy target”. Emphasising that she does not attend parties, the actor wrote, “I don't go to parties… I'm constantly on flights. I'm a workaholic; I don't have a personal life. I don't associate myself with people like that. And on my off days, I'm at home, on a beach in Dubai, or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals!”, Hindustan Times reported.

Urging her followers not to trust the reports, Nora added that her name had previously been dragged into controversies without basis. “Don’t believe anything you read! It seems like my name is an easy target. But I won't allow it to happen this time. It happened once before, you tried to destroy me with LIES, and it didn’t work. I watched silently as everyone tried their best to slander my name, smear my reputation and use me as clickbait!”, Hindustan Times reported.

She ended her statement with a warning to those circulating the allegations: “Please refrain from using my name and image in situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy, heavy price!”, quoted Hindustan Times.

Her remarks came in response to reports claiming that Nora, Shraddha Kapoor and other Bollywood personalities were present at rave parties allegedly organised by detained drug trafficker Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh. According to reports, Shaikh told Mumbai Police that he hosted these events for Bollywood and fashion industry figures, and that Parkar had attended some of them.

Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai last month, is currently in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Cell’s (ANC) Ghatkopar unit. ANC officials have not ruled out the possibility of questioning the celebrities named in his confession as the investigation progresses.
