Chasing 159 for victory, Kings XI Punjab batsmen reached the winning score of 163 runs by losing six wickets in 19.5 overs.
N Saini remained the top scorer for Punjab with his 50 runs knock from 36 deliveries. He hit five boundaries in the innings.
D Hussey (45) and M Singh (43) added some crucial runs with the willows.
Earlier, riding on C Gayle's 71 runs RCB scored 158 runs for the loss of five wickets.
Gayle slammed four huge sixes in the match and six boundaries in the match.
