Southern Institute of Technology Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Queenstown Levi Goodall prepares to tackle the international Slope Style world tour which will be in Queenstown 17 April. Slope style is a silver stop on the Free Ride Mountain Bike World Tour (FMB). The FMB world tour is a series of contests all over the world which give points for overall world ranking at the end of the year. The FMB has Diamond, Gold, Silver and bronze stops, with placing at Diamond events being worth the most points and bronze the least. The Queenstown Slope style is the only FMB event on in New Zealand and is in its 3rd year running.

Levi hopes to use the Queenstown event to boost his overall world ranking for 2014.
Levi previously entered this contest in 2013. 2013 was Levi’s first year in the pro class after competing as an amateur in 2012. Levi Qualified for the 2014 Slope style due to his previous contest experience and ability

Levi also adds that “I’ve found my study of the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise at the Southern Institute of Technology helped me prepare for the psychology of competing in an international sports competition. Learning about ways to keep yourself mentally sound under high pressure situations has helped my riding quite a bit in contest situations as it can be quite scary dropping in in front of a crowd of 5000 plus!”
