The visiting Indian minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey who is in Auckland on his way back from Suva, Fiji has extended an open invitation to the Kiwi Indian community for the Pravsiya Bharatiya Divas 2019.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare arrived in Auckland on Friday, June 1 for a brief stopover and to meet the members of the Indian community.
The minister was warmly received by Honorary Consul of India in Auckland Bhav Dhillon, Akash Rawal- Organiser of Overseas Friends of BJP in New Zealand, Rajnish Kumar Rai- Employment Consultant, Ministry of Social Development, Laxmikant Sinha- Director of Taritas Software Solutions Pvt Ltd, Ravindra Pratap Singh, Hardik Desai- Organiser of BJP New Zealand, Birendra Kumar- Managing Director BRV Consultants Ltd Chartered Engineer and Sarwan Singh- Director, Cordis Auckland Hotel and other prominent members of the local Indian community.
The minister apprised the local community of all the progressive measures and initiatives taken by the Govt. of India.
The Minister stated that he had brought cordial and warm wishes from the Govt of India. The Minister stressed that the Govt of India is firmly committed to establish a vibrant relationship with every country in the world and work for the progress and prosperity of Indian diaspora across the globe.
Minister Ashwini Kumar invited local Indian community to participate in Pravasi Bhartiya Divas to be held in Varanasi from 21-23 January in 2019, Kumbh in January 2019 and Republic Day Celebrations in Delhi on 26 January 2019. He also informed that Viswa Hindi Sammelan is going to be held from 21-23 August in Mauritius and requested them to participate in those events.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to local Indian community for organising get together at such short notice and appreciated Honorary Consul Bhav Dhillon for coordination everything.
