Police is seeking the public’s help to identify an Indian man who was seriously assaulted in Takanini, South Auckland on Tuesday, August 15.
"The man was left severely beaten on the footpath at approximately 10.20 p.m. last night on Great South Road, Takanini," Police said.
"He is in a critical condition in Auckland Hospital and Police are requesting the public’s help to identify this man so we contact his family,"
He was wearing a grey collared shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers with white soles.
Police says that man is between the age 20 and 30 and is of Indian descent.
Police is seeking to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information about who the man is.
"If you have any information that could help our investigation, please contact Detective Senior Sergeant Karen Bright, Counties Manukau Crime Squad on (09) 261 1321," Police said.
