Do you spend a lot of time in commuting, especially during the peak hours? So Auckland Transport has come up with a solution to save your time.
A programme to improve travel times and reliability for bus passengers is being rolled out across the region to support Auckland Transport’s Frequent Service Network.
The bus priority programme, which includes initiatives such as bus and transit lanes, will help create a more efficient and effective bus service for public transport users.
Already, passengers are experiencing improved travel times on the new bus lanes along Symonds Street and Fanshawe Street. Work has also started on bus priority initiatives on Dominion Road and Khyber Pass, with many more planned around the region.
By June, approximately 15km of bus lanes will have been added to key bus routes, with another 25km planned for the next two years. You can visit Auckland Transport website for more information.
