Auckland’s leading real estate company Barfoot & Thompson is delighted to once again sponsor the vibrant Diwali Festival of Lights at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, 10-11 October.

In Indian culture the festival of Diwali celebrates light as a symbol of hope and positive energy. This colourful global festival highlights the victory of good over evil and lights up Auckland’s waterfront every year as it draws in thousands of visitors from all over the country.

Barfoot & Thompson Managing Director, Peter Thompson says: “The Diwali festival has become a genuine highlight on Auckland’s cultural calendar and we’re pleased to have been involved for the past three years.”

“Diwali gives us the chance to applaud the fine work of our ethnically diverse sales team of nearly 950 individuals. Many new migrants have carved successful real estate careers with our company and, with almost 40 different ethnicities within Barfoot & Thompson, many of our top achieving salespeople are people who were born in countries other than New Zealand.”

“We work in every local area and community in the greater Auckland region so we understand the important part our salespeople play in assisting new migrants to settle into New Zealand.”

“The role of our sales team in helping new migrants buy or rent their first home is a vital introduction into the New Zealand way of doing business and provides a welcoming handshake as our newest New Zealanders establish their lives here.”

Barfoot & Thompson will be joining in all the Diwali good times with a vibrantly decorated stand and fun giveaways, as well as having experienced salespeople on hand to answer any real estate questions people may have.
