The Prime Minister of India will launch the ‘Make in India’ campaign on September 25, 2014 in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Arrangements are being made for a live webcast of the event in Indian Missions and Posts.
There will be a LIVE telecast of this in Auckland, at 4.00 pm at Stamford Plaza Hotel.
A substantive number of events around the live telecast of the programme will be organized, involving apex chambers of commerce in the country, leading Indian and foreign industrialists, young entrepreneurs, NRIs, members of industrial associations and representatives Indian and foreign companies.
A short film prepared by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion on the 100 days of the new government will be shown as a curtain-raiser to the main event, which will be the live telecast of the launch of the ‘Make in India’ campaign by the PM. This will be followed by an interactive discussion on measures required to be put in place in order to make India a greater part of the global value chain.
The discussion will also focus on investment opportunities in: the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor; the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor; the East Coast Industrial Corridor (including Chennai-Vizag Industrial Corridor); the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor; and the North-East Myanmar Industrial Corridor.
