Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel is organising a taste bud tour of India, the first of its kind in New Zealand. The event will be held daily from the 19th to the 25th of October 2013, with a gala opening night on Saturday the 19th of October from 5:30- 11:30pm. For this week Sudima Auckland Airport hotel offers the best-value, best tasting Indian cuisine. Our Executive Chef Rakesh Chandra will present authentic culinary masterpieces from different regions of India. This taste bud tour transports you from the alluring flavours of North, including Kashmiri and Rajasthani favourites, through to tantalising tastes of Gujarat and Goa in the West and Bengal in the East, down to exotic delights of Southern India. India will come alive at Visaya Restaurant and Bar with a magnificent array of decorations, music and live entertainment for the gala opening on Saturday, 19th October. We will have a sumptuous buffet on display which will include flavoursome street food of Mumbai and rich, extravagant food from Rajasthan, and the exotic tastes of South India. Live counters where our chefs will be making fresh, hot, delicious food will give you the chance to explore how various foods are put together and cooked. If you feel adventurous and want to try your hand at making hot, sticky- sweet jalebis (Indian desert), this is your chance to do so. This will be a memorable, fun-filled evening with live entertainment and food, dancing to Bollywood music and prizes including spot prizes for the best dressed and best dancer.
