White Ribbon Day

They say the way to a man's heart is his stomach. Auckland Council is inviting men to raise their voice against violence over a hearty breakfast.

Sunday 25 November is White Ribbon Day, when across New Zealand men take action to support an end to violence in our communities.

The Council will be hosting a convoy of ‘White Ribbon riders’ as part of a family fun day at Roskill Youth Zone from 10am to early afternoon. And hosting a special Men's Breakfast that morning to bring the men of the community together to take a stand against violence.

When: Sunday 25 November, 7.30am

Where: Roskill Youth Zone, behind Wesley Community Centre, Sandringham Rd Extension

What: Mens breakfast to commit ourselves to a violence-free community. Special guest speaker will be local MP Phil Goff.

Cost: $20/head with proceeds going towards the family fun day.
