Two Community Organisations and a radio station namely, Manukau Indian Association, Bharatiya Samaj Charitable Trust and Humm 106.2 FM Auckland’s only Hindi FM Radio Station have paid great heed and utmost importance to the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi that “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL”.

Manukau Indian Association, Bharatiya Samaj Charitable Trust and Humm 106.2 FM entered into an understanding that they will present religious and calendar events for The Indian Community together; rather than duplicating them.

The spokesperson of the Manukau Indian Association Dr. Anil Channa said “the three organisations will bring their resources and potentials together so that they can serve the Indian community better.
We would like to invite other likeminded organisations join us so that we can achieve a greater voice for our people.

We will be celebrating major Indian events together starting with Navratri 2012.

The founder and chairman of Bharatiya Samaj Charitable Trust Mr. Jeet Suchdev said since its inception in 1995, the Trust has been relentlessly working to help and support migrants from South Asian communities residing in the Auckland region.

It has been the mission of the organisation to bring people together under a unified umbrella.

As a bold step towards achieving this mission, Bhartiya Samaj has joined hands with Manukau Indian Association and Humm 106.2 FM to celebrate several events in the coming years.

The Managing Director of Humm 106.2 FM Mr Satyan Prasad always had the vision of getting the community Organisations to work together; welcomed the partnership. He further said he will continue working towards getting more organisations to form an understanding in order to work in unison for the betterment of our community.
