The number of young professionals of South East Asian background working in the corporate world in Aotearoa have increased considerably and up till now there was no platform or organisation dedicated to bringing these upcoming professionals together to network and share their experiences and talent in a fun environment.

Well that has all changed now. A group of enterprising youth have felt the need for this and have launched New Zealand’s first Young Professionals group serving the South East Asian community.

Young Professionals (YP) is a meaningful networking organization of dedicated, talented young professionals ranging in age from 21-45 in New Zealand with a simple agenda: to enrich our community by uniting and developing young professionals from a wide cross-section of careers and industries.

Also they want to enrich and enhance the career development of their members and facilitate opportunities for young professionals to network in a fun and relaxed business environment. They are aiming to provide professional development, social networking and civic engagement opportunities and develop region's next generation of leaders.
Starting as a grassroots collective of diverse, forward-thinking individuals with a passion for cultivating creativity, entrepreneurship and a spirit of community in New Zealand, they want to connect young Aucklanders with activities that will help to improve the careers, social life, and character of their members.

In essence, YP group co-ordinates, collaborates, and promotes events around wider Auckland that are, social or informational. YP is about getting out and making friends. Their mission is to create a platform for their members to build relationships, develop professionally, become politically and philanthropically active, and contribute to the economic development and high quality living of wider community.

They invite you to help build this momentum by joining them. There are many ways to participate and contribute – They are sure you’ll find the opportunities that are right for you.
