Rave reviews of Padmashri Yesudas’ Australia concert have spurred ticket sales for the legend’s Auckland show scheduled for later this month.
“Fantastic … 100 per cent’ were just two of the early comments received from the friends who attended the Brisbane concert of Padmashri Dr Yesudas during last weekend,” Auckland concert organiser Suren Surendran said.
“Yes, the legends are already in Australia and have completed the concerts in Brisbane and Adelaide over the last weekend and probably on their way to Melbourne as you read this.
“With two more concerts to go (Melbourne and Sydney) the whole troupe will have ample opportunity to “rehearse” before their tour finale in Auckland on the 25th August.”
Padmashri Yesudas is celebrating his 50 years (and 60,000 songs) in cine music industry with a Golden Jubilee World Tour.
Joining him in this leg to Australia and New Zealand are none other than “Nightingale from the South” Padmashri K.S.Chithra, Vijay Yesudas and Shweta Mohan (daughter of Yesudas prodige’ Sujatha Mohan).
This concert will include a popular selection from the old and new beautiful Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi songs.
The net proceeds of the concert will go towards Project HOPE supporting the orphaned children from the civil war in Sri Lanka.
“For those who have already got the tickets – be assured of a treat on the 25th,” Surendran said.
If you have not got the tickets yet – you still can, not too late at all – available in all price ranges ($40, $50, $75 & $125). You can either call Suren 021 952 747 or Ravi Muthu 021 991 594, or email yesudasnz@gmail.com.
Some of the local Auckland Indian shops also have $50 & $40 tickets: Spice Corner (Royal Oak), RRK Foods (Sandringham), Smart Deal Bazaar (Mt Roskill), Spice Land (Panmure).
Tickets will be available on the day at the entrance, but we highly recommend not leaving it till the last minute. Earlier you buy the better seats you will get.
