Moshims Discount House Group’s next major shopping complex will be based in Otahuhu, magnaging director Mohammed Hasim Khan said.
Mr Khan told the Indian Weekender that after the opening of its Moshims Plaza at 64 Stoddart Rd in Mt Roskill, Otahuhu was the company’s next big project.
The Otahuhu complex will be located opposite the Repco auto parts shop, but it is not certain when work is expected to start.
The Stoddart Rd complex opened its doors on June 20, with the plaza housing a supermarket, Indian video outlet, a $2 Shop, a pizza shop, butcher, restaurant, fish shop, beauty parlour, to name a few.
The supermarket opened its doors on June 20, as did Continental Meat Shop. Mr Khan said he expected to have the restaurant up and running as early as next week.
The Moshims Plaza is the biggest Indian shopping complex of its kind in the country. The group now has 24 stores throughout the country and in Australia (two) since starting out from humble beginnings in Auckland 20 years ago.
