Wellington: The commerce section of the Indian High Commission to New Zealand in Wellington has invited sports goods and equipment manufacturers to take advantage of the vast Indian manufacturing base for sports goods by participating in or visiting a forthcoming exhibition in New Delhi.
India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 4th Sports Goods & Physical Fitness Equipment Exhibition (SGPFEE) at one of India's largest convention centres, Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi from October 3-6, this year.
The event will showcase achievements and technological advancements made by India covering a wide range of products and services related to sports goods and physical fitness equipment industry.
"The sports goods industry has come of age and 60% of its production is being exported to various countries including UK, Australia, USA, France, Germany, South Africa, New Zealand, Italy, Canada, etc," the Commerce section said in a communique.
"The quality of sports goods produced in India now matches the International standards and on the other hand many overseas importers are showing interest in buying Indian sports goods due to its cost effectiveness."
