There have been another 14 deaths of people with Covid-19 in New Zealand, as well as a further 5535 new community cases.
The seven-day rolling average of community case numbers today is 8563.
In today's statement, the Ministry of Health said there were 720 people in hospital, including 21 in ICU.
There were 22 deaths and another 7746 cases of the coronavirus reported yesterday.
