An aggravated robbery was reported at Mosgiel Mini Mart, Gordon Road, Mosgiel, Dunedin, Thursday night. An apparent stabbing resulted in deep head injuries for the shop owner. Around 8.25pm, police were alerted to the incident. Police are investigating the incident; however, the offender remains at large.
The dairy owner was treated with severe injuries and was admitted to Dunedin hospital. He is described as the friendliest person and nicest guy.
Jasmine-lee Knight who lives close to the Dairy, posted on FB page Mosgiel Notice Board, “I live next door, literally the nicest guy you could meet. By the amazing comments on the posts, it seems he is very well loved around our community.”
Neighbouring business owners and local residents are in shock. Community has urged to show compassion and support to the dairy owner.
