A baby boy who was taken into Auckland's Starship Hospital on Wednesday evening, has died.
The 10-month-old died in hospital yesterday evening, Waitemata Police's Detective Inspector Aaron Proctor said.
Police have upgraded their investigation to a homicide inquiry.
A post-mortem is taking place today.
Police inquiries are continuing, and any further updates will be provided
