New Zealand Police has today laid a charge on the seventh person with attempted murder of radio host Harnek Singh.

The news of the grievous assault on local Punjabi radio (radio Virsa) host Harnek Singh just before Christmas last year just outside his home on Glenross Dr, in Wattle Downs (December 23) has left the Kiwi-Indian community stunned.

The Police have laid charges of attempted murder on six people Jagraj Singh, Hardeep Singh Sandhu, Jobanpreet Singh, Sarvjeet Sidhu, Jaspal Singh and Gurbinder, earlier this year on February 10 at the High Court.

The Police have informed the Indian Weekender just now that they are laying charges on the seventh person.

“Police investigating a serious assault where a man was critically injured in Wattle Downs in December last year have today charged a seventh person with Attempted Murder.

“A 47-year-old man has been charged with Attempted Murder and was due to appear in the Manukau District Court today,” the Police said.

The Police have declined to comment any further as the case is now in court.
