Private company Sehion Tours and Travels has received the NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Indian High Commission earlier today confirming its next flight to Kochi and Mumbai on September 19.

Sehion Travels is working with Singapore Airlines for its private charter repatriation flights from New Zealand to India under the Vande Bharat Mission.

Director of Sehion Travels, Sijo Abraham said the tickets for the September 19 flights are almost sold out with only a few economy and premium tickets left.

Earlier last week, Sehion Tours & Travels repatriated 235 passengers via a charter flight from Auckland to Ahmedabad and then Mumbai.

Sehion Travels received its NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the Ahmedabad flight from High Commission of India in Wellington earlier in August and was booked in full capacity ahead of the flight on 29 August.

Mr Abraham told The Indian Weekender that as per requirements to fly, each passenger had to show a negative Covid test before boarding and were supplied with PPE (Face cover and mask) from Sehion Travels at the airport.

The last flight took off from Auckland on Saturday, August 29 at 9:30 p.m. and reached Ahmedabad at 8 a.m. and Mumbai at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, August 30 (India Time).

Sehion Travels is also planning another flight to Kochi and Mumbai for September 12, the NOC of which is pending with the Indian High Commission.

The Indian High Commission through its social media notified public earlier today that under the Vande Bharat Mission, three flights have taken approximately 750 stranded Indian nationals back home in August- one Air India and two private charter flights to New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

The High Commission will announce more flights in the month of September as and when they are finalised.
