Sushant Singh Rajput's most awaited and last film Dil Bechara will be released in New Zealand and Fiji cinemas by Forum Films NZ on Friday, August 7.

Director of Forum Films, Pritesh Raniga confirmed the news to the Indian Weekender on Thursday, July 30.

Dil Bechara stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi in the lead and supported by Saif Ali Khan, Milind Gunaji, Javed Jaffrey, and more. The film is directed by Mukesh Chhabra and is produced by Fox Star Studios.

The film was released worldwide on Disney+Hotstar streaming platform on July 24 and has so far received rave reviews for its story, direction, star cast and music by AR Rahman.

The film is an official remake of the 2014 Hollywood hit 'The Fault in our Stars' starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort based on a novel by the same name released in 2012 by John Green.

New Zealand is the first country in the world to release Dil Bechara in cinemas, and a majority of countries have shut their theatres to Covid-19 pandemic.

Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhicchore is still running in Fiji theatres after a second run earlier in July in NZ and his critically-acclaimed film Sonchiriya might too get a re-release in NZ theatres in the coming weeks.

The timings of the show Dil Bechara will be released soon by Forum Films.
