Migrant Heritage Charitable Trust Inc (MigHT-i) is continuing its work of bringing to fore the rich heritage of Indian Music in New Zealand. After the success of Naadbrahma in 2009, they are bringing together two pillars of Indian Music stream – Hindustani and Carnatic Music once again in 2010 with all new Jugalbandi between the two styles. This year’s edition will feature Sitar, Sarod, Tabla, Violin, Mridangam and Veena. In a not to be missed ‘Jugalbandi’ between the two styles, the evening will feature top artists in New Zealand.
‘Sounds from Heaven’ or “NAADBRAHMA 2010” will be hosted at the Mt. Roskill War Memorial Hall.

The evening will feature Shri Manjit Singh with his students on Tabla. Shri Satish Sharma will be performing on Sarod, while Lester Silver will be enchanting you with his mastery on the Sitar.
Dr Ashok Malur will be enchanting the audience with the melodious rendering of Violin, while Prof Diwakar and his students will show the magic of Veena, with nimble fingers. Shri Raman will be creating a perfect percussion on the Mridangam.
Hindustani and Carnatic music will once again come head to head during the evening and create a magic of “Sur” and “Taal” which will leave you mesmerized and the evening promises to show you what our Indian music is capable of achieving.
