Wellington Gurudwara Sahib earlier last week hosted the 3rd annual Gurbani Music Workshop organized by the Naad Charitable Trust New Zealand.
“Students of all ages participated in this workshop with great enthusiasm, they had the opportunity to study various instruments like Tabla, Harmonium, string instrument (Dilruba) and Kirtan,” Amarjit Kaur from Wellington Gurudwara said.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Manjit Singh (Rhythm School Hindustani Music Auckland) and Gavo Sachi Bani competition winner Rajwinder Kaur from Amritsar.
On the final day of the weeklong workshop, students shared their newly learnt Gurbani music skills with the Sangat at the evening diwan.
The participants were felicitated with medals and certificates for their effort and commitment to learning proper Gurbani music styles.
The Gurudwara Sahib committee also thanked the visiting music tutors, Manjit Singh and Rajwinder Kaur for running this workshop successfully again this year.
