Auckland will host New Zealand’s first Hindu Economic Forum New Zealand (HEFNZ) in November later this year. New Zealand National Conference will be organized with the theme “Opportunity, Collaboration and Growth” on November 23 at Alexandra Park.

The HEFNZ was officially launched by Swami Vigyananand, Founder of World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF), in November last year in Auckland, with the vision “Grow Together; Share Together”.

The Hindu community has been contributing to New Zealand in the economy, education, health, agriculture, media, technology, entertainment, etc. and this conference will highlight the contributions of Hindus in the economic field in New Zealand.

HEFNZ aims to bring together Hindu industrialists, business persons, traders, exporters and importers, bankers, technocrats, investors, professionals, economists, academicians and thinkers for this conference so that each group can share their knowledge, experience, expertise and resources in order to contribute and make the New Zealand Society prosperous.

The inaugural session will have three keynote addresses: Business Opportunities in New Zealand, Availability of capital for business in New Zealand – Bank as a facilitator and Government policy framework for encouraging business.

Following the inaugural session, there will be four sessions focusing on Service Sector, Opportunities, Success Stories and Networking Session.

“A number of young entrepreneurs have come together to organize this conference. This is indeed a positive sign,” Chairperson of HEFNZ, Hardik Desai said.

“The conference will provide an opportunity for networking, connecting and inspiring each other”, he added.

Earlier in May, a networking dinner with Swami Vigyananand was organized where he explained the aims and objectives of WHEF, and also about the benefits of attending the 7th WHEF conference in Mumbai, to the Hindu businesspeople who attended the networking dinner.

Members of HEFNZ acting as a business delegation from New Zealand is preparing to attend the 7th annual WHEF to be held in Mumbai from 27-29 September this year.

These New Zealand delegates, after attending the WHEF conference in Mumbai, will get a first-hand experience and will share their experience with the conference delegates here in New Zealand.

“New Zealand has the potential to emerge as a model economy with Clean and Green image. However, there is a need to leverage the global situation for the collective growth,” the media release from HEFNZ Inc. said.

“Hindus have settled all around the world and linking those successful business people with New Zealand business community will definitely help New Zealand business, which also includes Maori business,” the release added.

Hindu Economic Forum aims to provide a platform for future generations, especially the budding women and young entrepreneurs, to prosper and emerge strong. The aim is to encourage, support and mentor them.
