Nominations open for Howick Celebrated Citizens Awards

Written by IWK Bureau | Apr 15, 2019 12:47:35 AM

Do you know someone who deserves to be recognised? Nominate them for a Howick Celebrated Citizens Award.

“We have people doing an amazing array of tasks right across our area,” Howick Local Board Chair David Collings says.

“There are incredible volunteers everywhere. Many of them toil away without any kind of recognition and we want to put that right and celebrate their commitment to our community.”

The judges will be looking for good people from the Howick area whose work benefits people and their communities. Judges will consider their length of service and any other significant factors, such as influence in wider Auckland.

The emphasis is on voluntary work but if you know someone who makes an outstanding contribution through their paid employment, you can nominate them too.

To make a nomination complete this online form.

Nominations close at 5pm on 12 May.

Full criteria and categories are available on the nomination site.

If you have a question, email linda.bercusson@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz
