Two separate drowning incidents have been reported to the police this weekend at two different locations- police have been able to recover one body earlier today.
The first incident was reported at Hunua Falls around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 where a man was reported to be swept into the water near the waterfall.
The second incident was reported at the Muketu Falls, Ramarama Swimming Hole at around 5:40 p.m.
Police earlier this morning was able to recover the body of a 50-year-old man from the Ramarama Swimming Hole. The next of kin is being informed and the death has been referred to the coroner.
Police dive squad restarted the search operation today morning trying to locate the body the male person reported missing from Hunua Falls yesterday.
