TappooCity is the latest instance in the Tappoo Group’s fine tradition of setting up highly reputed up-market retail stores in top locations throughout Fiji.

Located in downtown Suva, which is not only Fiji’s but also the South Pacific islands’ golden mile, TappooCity has turned out to be a sophisticated shopping, entertainment and business destination on par with such a facility anywhere in the world.

It has been drawing both domestic and international visitors since it opened in December last year and has created quite a buzz in the market.

Tappoo’s own flagship store sprawls across three levels of the iconic building that has a strikingly elegant elevation. It is the first building in Fiji to boast as many as four elevators in addition to escalators for easy movement and accessibility between all levels of the building.

While level 4 is dedicated to a food court and selected speciality stores, levels 5 and 6 house offices. There is a generous provision for the parking of as many as 80 cars.

“The state of the art store is comparable with the best of stores from around the world,” says Madhu Tappoo, CEO and Executive Director, Tappoo Group.

“Level 4 is now ready for leasing – and this presents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to run food outlets and specialty shops,” he adds.

This is indeed a unique opportunity for former Fiji citizens either to open a new outlet or bring in a New Zealand or Australian or even an American franchise and run it as a franchised food outlet, Mr Tappoo says.

The Fiji government is encouraging foreign investment and also offering dual citizenship to former Fiji citizens to encourage investment in the economy.
