New Delhi: At least 14 people were killed and over 50 others injured as a fire broke out at a community hall in New Delhi's Nand Nagari area on Sunday evening.
The injured people were admitted in local hospitals.
The fire broke out at the community hall where many people had assembled for a 'kinnar mahasabha' around 7pm on Sunday, media reports said.
The fire broke out at the kitchen of the community centre and then spread in the other corners of the venue, media reports said.
Twelve fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control, said a senior fire official.
The reason behind the fire is still not known.
Sunday was the final day of the three-day long 'kinnar mahasabha' function that was organized at the hall.
