Kolkata: At a special interaction with Baba Ramdev here in Kolkata on Monday, the popular yoga guru termed the theft of natural resources as the "biggest corruption" that the country faces today.
"Stealing of natural resources is the biggest corruption in this nation, Naxals, Maoists, corrupt corporates, and corrupt politicians are aiming at stealing these resources. If country can be saved from these stealing ten the country will be benefited a lot," Ramdev said.
"I do not want to be MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) or MP (Member of Parliament ), but I want to make a country that is free of corruption," he said.
Ramdev also asserted that he feels that India will lead the world in economic sphere and cultural sphere in another ten years.
"By 2020 I feel that India will lead the world both culturally as well as economically," he said.
Stressing on the need maintaining proper healthy lifestyle and body metabolism Ramdev displayed yoga practices that are helpful for a healthy and disease free life.
He also mentioned that yoga can cure the problems of stress and tension for which there is no medicinal cure.
"Stress and hypertension can be hundred percent cured through pranayam (a yoga exercise)," he said.
"There should be balance in body metabolism and yoga maintains the body metabolism," he claimed, having practised the Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline for over 20 years.
"Yoga is not mine. It is a gift of our predecessors and I have utilised it. And I believe that if one uses it then he will get such benefits that he will not get from else where," he said.
