Abida Parveen recovering from heart attack

Lahore: Popular Pakistani singer Abida Parveen has been admitted to ICU after she suffered a mild cardiac arrest on Saturday night, reports said.

She also underwent an angioplasty and has been kept under 24-hour observation by the doctors, the reports mentioned.

Abida was admitted to hospital after she suffered from an attack on Saturday night, reports said.

Media reports said that the singer popular singer is slowly recovering from the attack.

Born in 1954, Abida Parveen is a singer of Sindhi descent and one of the popular Sufi singers in the world.

A noted Ghazal exponent she sings in different languages like Urdu, Sindhi, Seraiki, Punjabi and Persian.

Her first hit was the Sindhi song “Tuhinje zulfan jay band kamand widha”.

“Abida Parveen in ICU with a heart attack. Please pray for her, may God give her strength and health,'' one of her many fans tweeted.
