New Delhi: British Prime Minister David Cameron will be visiting India in July, his first visit to the country after assuming office as the prime minister.
Cameron decided to visit Indian next month on an invitation by his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh when the two met on the sidelines of the G20 summit at Toronto on Saturday, reports said here on Sunday.
It was the first meeting between the two after Cameron replaced Gordon Brown as the British prime minister.
“Cameron had visited India in 2006 as leader of the opposition and he fondly recalled that visit. He said he was looking forward to visiting India again,” Vishnu Prakash, official spokesperson for the external affairs minister, was quoted in reports from Toronto.
