Two men have been charged after a person was seriously injured during an incident at a barbershop in Auckland this afternoon. Reported by 1News.
Police were called to a business on Great North Rd in Avondale around 3.25pm following reports of a serious assault.
"Upon arrival, one person was found in a serious condition and was transported to hospital," a police spokesperson told 1News.
Authorities confirmed that all parties involved are known to each other, and inquiries are continuing to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
Following the assault, two men were taken into custody. A 28-year-old man is set to appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 31-year-old man will also appear in court tomorrow, facing a charge of common assault.
