BLACKCAPS batter Devon Conway has been ruled out of the first ODI against India after suffering a concussion during a training session at Eden Park.
Conway and teammate Matt Henry collided while attempting to take a catch during training today. Both players received immediate attention from medical staff and underwent Head Injury Assessments.
Conway was subsequently taken to the Accident and Emergency department for further checks, where a concussion was confirmed.
The injury means Conway will miss tomorrow’s opening ODI against India.
Both players will remain under medical observation, with an update on their availability for the remainder of the Hero VIDA ODI series, powered by Ai+ Nova Smartphone, expected in due course.
