Apple's India store lists these prices across the available storage configurations.

iPhone Duo price in India

The iPhone Duo is even more expensive. Apple’s first foldable iPhone starts at ₹2,99,900 for 256GB and goes up to ₹4,49,900 for the 2TB version.

iPhone Duo India Price
256GB ₹2,99,900
512GB ₹3,24,900
1TB ₹3,74,900
2TB ₹4,49,900

The Duo features a 7.6-inch inner folding display and a 5.4-inch outer display. Apple says it uses a titanium frame and hinge cover, an A20 Pro chip, a dual-battery system and a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system.

How can Indian buyers afford the new iPhones?

For many Indian consumers, the biggest question is not whether the phones are desirable but whether they are financially practical.

Apple says it is offering up to six months of No Cost EMI on eligible purchases, along with up to ₹7,000 instant cashback on selected iPhone models and eligible cards. The company also offers trade-in credit for eligible existing smartphones.

According to Apple, the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro is available at a listed monthly figure of about ₹26,316 with the applicable cashback and No Cost EMI offer. The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max works out to about ₹28,817, while the 256GB iPhone Duo is listed at about ₹48,817 under the corresponding offer. These figures are subject to eligibility, applicable card offers and Apple’s terms and conditions.

For buyers trying to manage the cost, Apple’s trade-in programme and eligible No Cost EMI options can help reduce the immediate financial burden of purchasing a new iPhone. However, even with EMI, buyers should consider whether committing a substantial portion of their monthly income to a smartphone is financially practical.

What are the iPhone 18 prices in New Zealand?

The new iPhones are also being positioned firmly in the premium segment in New Zealand. According to Apple’s official New Zealand store, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at NZ$2,549, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at NZ$2,749. Apple lists the iPhone Duo from NZ$4,199.

Apple’s New Zealand store lists the following Duo prices:

iPhone Duo New Zealand Price
256GB NZ$4,199
512GB NZ$4,599
1TB NZ$5,399
2TB NZ$6,599

The iPhone Duo is scheduled to open for pre-orders in New Zealand on October 17 NZDT and become available from October 23. Apple’s New Zealand product page confirms the 7.6-inch folding display, 5.4-inch outer display, A20 Pro chip and 48MP Dual Fusion camera system.

For the iPhone 18 Pro range, Apple’s New Zealand store lists the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro at NZ$2,549 and the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max at NZ$2,749. The higher-capacity versions rise considerably, with the 2TB iPhone 18 Pro Max listed at NZ$5,149.

A steep jump for premium iPhones

The pricing highlights just how expensive Apple’s top-end devices have become. The 2TB iPhone Duo at ₹4,49,900 costs almost three times the starting price of the iPhone 18 Pro in India.

In New Zealand, the gap is similarly striking: the iPhone Duo starts at NZ$4,199, compared with NZ$2,549 for the iPhone 18 Pro.

With the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and Duo, Apple is clearly targeting the premium end of the smartphone market in both countries. For consumers, the decision may ultimately come down to whether the latest camera, performance, AI and foldable features justify spending anywhere from ₹1.65 lakh to ₹4.5 lakh in India, or from NZ$2,549 to NZ$6,599 in New Zealand.
