Hollywood actor and television host Terry Crews has openly praised Shah Rukh Khan, comparing the Bollywood superstar’s global influence to that of Tom Cruise and football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. Reported by The Telegraph Online.
In a recent interview, Crews spoke about his desire to work in Indian cinema and shared his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan’s international stardom.
Expressing his eagerness to meet the actor, Crews said, “I want to mention how Shah Rukh Khan has become this super international star.
I haven’t met him yet, but I’m looking forward to that. To me, he is a true example of Tom Cruise-level Indian talent that has taken over the world. His brand and his name are like those of Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s enormous."
Crews also spoke highly of Bollywood films, particularly appreciating how music and dance are seamlessly woven into storytelling. Highlighting what sets Indian cinema apart, he said, “Everybody around the globe wants what India has simply because it really satisfies a need in so many ways.
I’m a big fan of music and dance. In fact, I am a dancer first. When you look at the culture and the way they’ve incorporated big musical performances into the movies, you don’t get that in America. It comes along once in a blue moon, like Wicked.
When I watch these major stars dancing to the amazing music, I miss it. It reminds me of the old Hollywood.”
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor, who recently turned 57, also caught attention online after sharing a picture with Ranveer Singh.
Posting the photo from Abu Dhabi, where the two posed as boxers, Crews congratulated Ranveer on the success of Dhurandhar, writing, “Me and the great @ranveersingh at @abudhabigp!!!! Congrats on Dhurandhar.”
On the work front, Terry Crews will next be seen in the action-adventure comedy PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.
Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his upcoming action drama King, directed by Siddharth Anand, which is among the most anticipated projects of the year.
