Pakistan was reeling under pressure when their chase for a semifinal win over India in the U-19 Cricket World Cup in Christchurch today went awry as they were quickly reduced to 28/4 in the first 12 overs. 

All four wickets went to Ishan Porel. 

Earlier, Indians had an impressive performance with the bat when their collective endeavour resulted in  272/9 at the end of stipulated overs. 

Shubman Gill was the star batsman for India as he remained unbeaten on 102 runs.

The Indian opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and Manjot Kalra stitched an opening partnership of 89 runs before the Indian skipper Prithvi was run out by Muhammad Musa for 41 runs. 

India leads the head-to-head battle 12-8 against Pakistan at the Under 19 level. One match finished in a tie.
