Punjabi singer and actor Harbhajan Mann is all set to perform live in Wellington for the first time on Friday, July 26, at Sacred Heart College.

The show is presented by Wellington Punjabi Sports and Cultural Club who are bringing the show to the city due to a high demand in the community.

Harbhajan Mann is one of the most popular and regarded entertainers in the Punjabi film industry who started his journey as a singer in 1992 and soon gained immense popularity in the industry.

“We are really looking forward to bring this show for our Wellingtonian Punjabi community and also for the people who live around the region,” a spokesperson from the Wellington Punjabi Sports and Cultural Club told The Indian Weekender.

“Harbhajan is one of the most popular faces of the Punjabi film and music industry and people in the lower North Island had never been able to host its show – in the past shows have been held in Auckland, Christchurch but never in Wellington – so we wanted to give this opportunity to our Wellingtonian Punjabi community to witness this concert,” Gurpreet added.

The official poster release ceremony of the show was done by the club and supporters at Ammu Restaurant in Upper Hutt on Saturday, June 29.

“We had earlier booked another concert hall to host the show, but due to the heavy demand of the show we have to move to a bigger venue – Sacred Heart College that can accommodate over 600 people in the audience,” the spokesperson told The Indian Weekender.

The tickets of the show can be purchased by contacting Wellington Punjabi Sports & Cultural Club, or from iTicket.co.nz or call 0210476589 or 0210657640.
