The Local Settlement Forum on Aug 28 welcomes newcomers (migrants and refugees), services providers, training providers and employers, who would like to better understand how the NZ Qualification Framework works. It is also an opportunity to network, exchange views and experience on the key issues faced by newcomers in the pathway into employment and education.
How does this assist a newcomer with registration of their profession, employment or education?The focus of the forum will be on getting International qualifications recognized through New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA).
How does National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA), highly regarded by employers and used in the selection into courses by NZ Universities and Tertiary institutions, work? A whole lot of Information for parents with secondary students planning on going into university could come handy through the forum on Sep 4.
